VENICE: a city of art in its charm, it is only 60 km from Caorle and can be reached by land or sea. A return ticket is on sale at the information office, which includes the journey from Caorle to Punta Sabbioni by coach and from Punta Sabbioni to Venice by motorboat. For those wishing to travel by car, we recommend parking in Mestre and then reaching Venice by train. Finally, there is the possibility of arriving directly in St Mark’s Square from the port of Caorle by motorboat Caorle, which makes daily connections.
PADUA: the city of Sant’Antonio, is remembered for its ancient university, the stupendous frescoes by Giotto, Prato della Valle, the largest square in Europe, and the characteristic historical centre. It is 100 km from Caorle and can be reached by taking the A4 motorway in the direction of Milan.
VERONA: the city of Romeo and Juliet, an obligatory destination for all lovers! Also famous is the stupendous Arena that has been hosting the Opera for years. It is about 180 km from Caorle and can be reached by taking the A4 motorway in the direction of Milan.
VICENZA: the city of Palladio and his villas, has a small historic centre, but full of interesting monuments, first and foremost the Olympic Theatre. Also worth seeing is the beautiful Sanctuary of the Madonna di Monte Berico. It is 130 km from Caorle and can be reached by taking the A4 motorway in the direction of Milan.
CONCORDIA SAGITTARIA: the ancient Julia Concordia, a Roman colony remembered for the construction of the ‘sagittae’, the arrows of the Roman army. You can visit the Basilica and numerous other Roman remains. It is only 20 km from Caorle and can be reached by taking the provincial road 59 to Santo Stino di Livenza and then continuing on to Portogruaro, a medieval town bordering Concordia Sagittaria, which is well worth a visit.
